• Occupational therapy allows children to do the activities they want and need to do. Pediatric occupational therapists help children live life to its fullest no matter their health condition or disability.

  • Coaching allows for highly individualized strategies tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of the child and family. Sessions can be scheduled more flexibly since it is all virtual, accommodating the family’s routines and reducing the need for travel. Lastly, caregivers learn therapeutic strategies they can use beyond the sessions, increasing confidence in managing their child’s needs independently.

  • Typically ages 3-9 years old get the best therapeutic results; however, infants, toddlers and adolescents are all welcome!

  • Coaching is not covered by health insurance. However, if you have HSA (health spending account) or FSA (flexible spending account) you make be able to use that for coaching. Each insurance company is different so please check with your provider.

  • No! If you are more comfortable just talking on the phone without video, that is totally fine.

  • Short answer: No! Your child does not need to be present during the sessions.

    If there is a certain behavior you would like strategies on, the therapist may ask you to video tape it or have the child hop on a video call so they can observe the behavior and give you the best feedback.
